Diocesan Episcopa meets with Mission Partners, Puentes De Cristo and Texas A& M Our Diocesan Episcopa, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Mar Paulose met with Puentes De Cristo and Texas A& M Colonias program representatives on January 16th, 2025, at Rio Grande valley Mar Thoma Church. Diocesan Secretary, Rev. George Abraham Diocesan Treasurer Mr. George Babu and the Mexico mission sub committee representatives were also present. Ms. Leticia G. Martinez (Director) and Mr. Dan Bautista (Board Member) from Puentes De Cristo and Mr. Rodrigo Guzman (Regional Director) and Ms. Adela Arellano (Program Coordinator) from Texas A&M Colonias Program attended the meeting with Thirumeni. The meeting aimed to explore collaborative opportunities between the Mar Thoma Mission, Puentes De Cristo and Texas A&M Colonias Program, to support the holistic development of the Colonias communities at the Southwest US-Mexico border with the focus on food security, housing repair needs, health, and education needs of the needy families. The meeting discussed various opportunities in working together collaboratively in addressing dire needs of the Colonias community. Further collaboration and follow-up meetings will be scheduled to advance these efforts.
