The annual meeting of the Diocesan Assembly of the Diocese of North America of the Mar Thoma Church was held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the Long Island Mar Thoma Church (Merrick, NY). The Diocesan Bishop and President, Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Mar Paulos Episcopa, presided over the meeting. The meeting began with an opening worship service, and Rev. Biju P. Simon (Vicar, MTC Philadelphia) gave the devotional message based on Acts 11:26. The Diocesan Secretary, Rev. George Abraham, presented the Annual Report and Audited Statement of Accounts for the year 2023, and the same was unanimously passed by the Assembly. The Diocesan Treasurer, Mr. George P. Babu, presented the Budget for the year of 2024, and after discussion, the Assembly unanimously passed the Budget. The Assembly also adopted various pertinent resolutions, and the Best Parish Awards, Messenger Awards, and Mar Thoma Merit Awards for 2023 were presented. The Diocesan Treasurer proposed the Vote of Thanks, and the meeting concluded at 2:00 PM with prayer offered by Rev. P. M. Thomas and benediction by the Diocesan Episcopa.
