Let us thank God for the manifold blessings that we continually receive. I appreciate all parishes for your active participation in the Diocesan activities. We appear to have returned to normalcy, and our parish life is thriving. By God's grace, the Maramon Convention turned out to be a blessed experience. People gathered in large numbers and participated with confidence and in faith, without COVID-19 restrictions. A good number of members from our Diocese attended the convention. Let this spiritual fervor continue to spread In all walks of life. The wellness program and the course on mission and culture are being conducted effectively in the Diocese. I am also happy that the Zonal Center at London was dedicated on March 04, 2023.

We celebrated India's 76" Independence Day on 15'n August 2022. It was not liberation from foreign domination alone that the people of India aspired for during the freedom struggle, but liberation from all kinds of superstition, hunger. and caste discrimination. Under the auspices of the Niranam- Maramon Diocese, we celebrated this year's Independence Day on 15 August in a public meeting organized at Dr. Alexander Mar Thoma Valiya Metropolitan Memorial Auditorium. Global citizen Dr. Shashi Tharoor MP attended the program as the chief guest. It was an occasion for reminiscing about India's progress and struggles as well as the pain and suffering that she is experiencing today. The event also helped to bring back to memory the history of India's Christian minority in connection with the freedom struggle and the contributions of the Christian community towards the development of Indian villages.
