10. Now there was a disciple in Damascus named Ananias. The Lord said to him in a vision, “Ananias.” He answered, “Here I am, Lord.”

11. The Lord said to him, “Get up and go to the street called Straight, and at the house of Judas look for a man of Tarsus named Saul. At this moment he is praying,

12. and he has seen in a vision a man named Ananias come in and lay his hands on him so that he might regain his sight.”

13. But Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he has done to your saints in Jerusalem;

14. and here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who invoke your name.”

15. But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is an instrument whom I have chosen to bring my name before Gentiles and kings and before the people of Israel;

16. I myself will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name.”

17. So Ananias went and entered the house. He laid his hands on Saul and said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus, who appeared to you on your way here, has sent me so that you may regain your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.”

18. And immediately something like scales fell from his eyes, and his sight was restored. Then he got up and was baptized,

10. എന്നാൽ അനന്യാസ് എന്നൊരു ശിഷ്യൻ ദമസ്കൊസിൽ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു: അവനെ കർത്താവു ഒരു ദർശനത്തിൽ: അനന്യാസേ എന്നു വിളിച്ചു. കർത്താവേ, അടിയൻ ഇതാ എന്നു അവൻ വിളികേട്ടു.

11. കർത്താവു അവനോടു: നീ എഴുന്നേറ്റു നേർവ്വീഥി എന്ന തെരുവിൽ ചെന്നു, യൂദയുടെ വീട്ടിൽ തർസൊസുകാരനായ ശൌൽ എന്നു പേരുള്ളവനെ അന്വേഷിക്ക;

12. അവൻ പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കുന്നു; അനന്യാസ് എന്നൊരു പുരുഷൻ അകത്തു വന്നു താൻ കാഴ്ച പ്രാപിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്റെ മേല കൈ വെക്കുന്നതു അവൻ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു കല്പിച്ചു.

13. അതിന്നു അനന്യാസ്: കർത്താവേ, ആ മനുഷ്യൻ യെരൂശലേമിൽ നിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധന്മാർക്കു എത്ര ദോഷം ചെയ്തു എന്നു പലരും പറഞ്ഞു ഞാൻ കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

14. ഇവിടെയും നിന്റെ നാമത്തെ വിളിച്ചപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നവരെ ഒക്കെയും പിടിച്ചുകെട്ടുവാൻ അവന്നു മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെ അധികാരപത്രം ഉണ്ടു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.

15. കർത്താവു അവനോടു: നീ പോക; അവൻ എന്റെ നാമം ജാതികൾക്കും രാജാക്കന്മാർക്കും യിസ്രായേൽമക്കൾക്കും മുമ്പിൽ വഹിപ്പാൻ ഞാൻ തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നൊരു പാത്രം ആകുന്നു.

16. എന്റെ നാമത്തിന്നു വേണ്ടി അവൻ എന്തെല്ലാം കഷ്ടം അനുഭവിക്കേണ്ടതാകുന്നു എന്നു ഞാൻ അവനെ കാണിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

17. അങ്ങനെ അനന്യാസ് ആ വീട്ടിൽ ചെന്നു അവന്റെമേൽ കൈ വെച്ചു: ശൌലേ, സഹോദരാ, നീ കാഴ്ച പ്രാപിച്ചു പരിശുദ്ധാത്മപൂർണ്ണൻ ആകേണ്ടതിന്നു നീ വന്ന വഴിയിൽ നിനക്കു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായ യേശു എന്ന കർത്താവു എന്നെ അയച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

18. ഉടനെ അവന്റെ കണ്ണിൽ നിന്നു ചെതുമ്പൽ പോലെ വീണു; കാഴ്ച ലഭിച്ചു അവൻ എഴുന്നേറ്റു സ്നാനം ഏൽക്കയും ആഹാരം കൈക്കൊണ്ടു ബലം പ്രാപിക്കയും ചെയ്തു.

7. Yet whatever gains I had, these I have come to regard as loss because of Christ.

8. More than that, I regard everything as loss because of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things, and I regard them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ

9. and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but one that comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God based on faith.

10. I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the sharing of his sufferings by becoming like him in his death,

11. if somehow I may attain the resurrection from the dead. Pressing toward the Goal

12. Not that I have already obtained this or have already reached the goal; but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own.

13. Beloved, I do not consider that I have made it my own; but this one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead,

14. I press on toward the goal for the prize of the heavenly call of God in Christ Jesus.

15. Let those of us then who are mature be of the same mind; and if you think differently about anything, this too God will reveal to you.

16. Only let us hold fast to what we have attained.

7. किन्तु तब जो मेरा लाभ था, आज उसी को मसीह के लिये मैं अपनी हानि समझाता हूँ।

8. इससे भी बड़ी बात यह है कि मैं अपने प्रभु मसीह यीशु के ज्ञान की श्रेष्ठता के कारण आज तक सब कुछ को हीन समझाता हूँ। उसी के लिए मैंने सब कुछ का त्याग कर दिया है और मैं सब कुछ को घृणा की वस्तु समझने लगा हूँ ताकि मसीह को पा सकूँ।

9. और उसी में पाया जा सकूँ-मेरी उस धार्मिकता के कारण नहीं जो व्यवस्था के विधान पर टिकी थी, बल्कि उस धार्मिकता के कारण जो मसीह में विश्वास के कारण मिलती है, जो परमेश्वर से मिलती है और जिसका आधार विश्वास है।

10. मैं मसीह को जानना चाहता हूँ और उस शक्ति का अनुभव करना चाहता हूँ जिससे उसका पुनरुत्थान हुआ था। मैं उसकी यातनाओं का भी सहभागी होना चाहता हूँ। और उसी रूप को पा लेना चाहता हूँ जिसे उसने अपनी मृत्यु के द्वारा पाया था।

11. इस आशा के साथ कि मैं भी इस प्रकार मरे हुओं में से उठ कर पुनरुत्थान को प्राप्त करूँ। लक्ष्य पर पहुँचने की यत्न करते रहो

12. ऐसा नहीं है कि मुझे अपनी उपलब्धि हो चुकी है अथवा मैं पूरा सिद्ध ही बन चुका हूँ। किन्तु मैं उस उपलब्धि को पा लेने के लिये निरन्तर यत्न कर रहा हूँ जिसके लिये मसीह यीशु ने मुझे अपना बधुँआ बनाया था।

13. हे भाईयों! मैं यह नहीं सोचता कि मैं उसे प्राप्त कर चुका हूँ। पर बात यह है कि बीती को बिसार कर जो मेरे सामने है, उस लक्ष्य तक पहुँचने के लिये मैं संघर्ष करता रहता हूँ।

14. मैं उस लक्ष्य के लिये निरन्तर यत्न करता रहता हूँ कि मैं अपने उस पारितोषिक को जीत लूँ, जिसे मसीह यीशु में पाने के लिये परमेश्वर ने हमें ऊपर बुलाया है।

15. ताकि उन लोगों का, जो हममें से सिद्ध पुरुष बन चुके हैं, भाव भी ऐसा ही रहे। किन्तु यदि तुम किसी बात को किसी और ही ढँग से सोचते हो तो तुम्हारे लिये उसका स्पष्टीकरण परमेश्वर कर देगा।

16. जिस सत्य तक हम पहुँच चुके हैं, हमें उसी पर चलते रहना चाहिए।

7. എങ്കിലും എനിക്കു ലാഭമായിരുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും ഞാൻ ക്രിസ്തു നിമിത്തം ചേതം എന്നു എണ്ണിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

8. അത്രയുമല്ല, എന്റെ കർത്താവായ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള പരിജ്ഞാനത്തിന്റെ ശ്രേഷ്ഠത നിമിത്തം ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോഴും എല്ലാം ചേതം എന്നു എണ്ണുന്നു.

9. ഞാൻ ക്രിസ്തുവിനെ നേടേണ്ടതിന്നും ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിൽനിന്നുള്ള എന്റെ സ്വന്ത നീതിയല്ല, ക്രിസ്തുവിങ്കലുള്ള വിശ്വാസംമൂലം ദൈവം വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവർക്കു നൽകുന്ന നീതി തന്നേ ലഭിച്ചു

10. അവനിൽ ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും അവന്റെ മരണത്തോടു അനുരൂപപ്പെട്ടിട്ടു അവനെയും അവന്റെ പുനരുത്ഥാനത്തിന്റെ ശക്തിയെയും

11. അവന്റെ കഷ്ടാനുഭവങ്ങളുടെ കൂട്ടായ്മയെയും അനുഭവിച്ചറിയേണ്ടതിന്നും ഇങ്ങനെ വല്ലവിധേനയും മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ നിന്നുള്ള പുനരുത്ഥാനം പ്രാപിക്കേണം എന്നു വെച്ചും ഞാൻ അവന്റെ നിമിത്തം എല്ലാം ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു ചവറു എന്നു എണ്ണുന്നു.

12. ലഭിച്ചു കഴിഞ്ഞു എന്നോ, തികഞ്ഞവനായി എന്നോ അല്ല, ഞാൻ ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിനാൽ പിടിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു എനിക്കും അതു പിടിക്കാമോ എന്നുവെച്ചു പിന്തുടരുന്നതേയുള്ള.

13. സഹോദരന്മാരേ, ഞാൻ പിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നിരൂപിക്കുന്നില്ല.

14. ഒന്നു ഞാൻ ചെയ്യുന്നു: പിമ്പിലുള്ളതു മറന്നും മുമ്പിലുള്ളതിന്നു ആഞ്ഞും കൊണ്ടു ക്രിസ്തുയേശുവിൽ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പരമവിളിയുടെ വിരുതിന്നായി ലാക്കിലേക്കു ഓടുന്നു.

15. നമ്മിൽ തികഞ്ഞവർ ഒക്കെയും ഇങ്ങനെ തന്നേ ചിന്തിച്ചുകൊൾക; വല്ലതിലും നിങ്ങൾ വേറെവിധമായി ചിന്തിച്ചാൽ ദൈവം അതും നിങ്ങൾക്കു വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിത്തരും.

16. എന്നാൽ നാം പ്രാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന പരിജ്ഞാനം തന്നേ അനുസരിച്ചു നടക്കുക.
