19. For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the children of God,

20. for the creation was subjected to futility, not of its own will, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope

21. that the creation itself will be set free from its enslavement to decay and will obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God.

22. We know that the whole creation has been groaning together as it suffers together the pains of labor,

23. and not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly while we wait for adoption, the redemption of our bodies.

24. For in hope we were saved. Now hope that is seen is not hope, for who hopes for what one already sees?

25. But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.

19. क्योंकि यह सृष्टि बड़ी आशा से उस समय का इंतज़ार कर रही है जब परमेश्वर की संतान को प्रकट किया जायेगा।

20. यह सृष्टि निःसार थी अपनी इच्छा से नहीं, बल्कि उसकी इच्छा से जिसने इसे इस आशा के अधीन किया

21. कि यह भी कभी अपनी विनाशमानता से छुटकारा पाकर परमेश्वर की संतान की शानदार स्वतन्त्रता का आनन्द लेगी।

22. क्योंकि हम जानते हैं कि आज तक समूची सृष्टि पीड़ा में कराहती और तड़पती रही है।

23. न केवल यह सृष्टि बल्कि हम भी जिन्हें आत्मा का पहला फल मिला है, अपने भीतर कराहते रहे है। क्योंकि हमें उसके द्वारा पूरी तरह अपनाये जाने का इंतजार है कि हमारी देह मुक्ति हो जायेगी।

24. हमारा उद्धार हुआ है। इसी से हमारे मन में आशा है किन्तु जब हम जिसकी आशा करते है, उसे देख लेते हैं तो वह आशा नहीं रहती। जो दिख रहा है उसकी आशा कौन कर सकता है।

25. किन्तु यदि जिसे हम देख नहीं रहे उसकी आशा करते हैं तो धीरज और सहनशीलता के साथ उसकी बाट जोहते हैं।

19. സൃഷ്ടി ദൈവപുത്രന്മാരുടെ വെളിപ്പാടിനെ ആകാംക്ഷയോടെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

20. സൃഷ്ടി ദ്രവത്വത്തിന്റെ ദാസ്യത്തിൽനിന്നു വിടുതലും ദൈവമക്കളുടെ തേജസ്സാകുന്ന സ്വാതന്ത്ര്യവും പ്രാപിക്കും എന്നുള്ള ആശയോടെ മായെക്കു കീഴ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു;

21. മനഃപൂർവ്വമായിട്ടല്ല, അതിനെ കീഴ്പെടുത്തിയവന്റെ കല്പനനിമിത്തമത്രേ.

22. സർവ്വസൃഷ്ടിയും ഇന്നുവരെ ഒരുപോലെ ഞരങ്ങി ഈറ്റുനോവോടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു നാം അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ.

23. ആത്മാവെന്ന ആദ്യദാനം ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന നാമും നമ്മുടെ ശരീരത്തിന്റെ വീണ്ടെടുപ്പായ പുത്രത്വത്തിന്നു കാത്തുകൊണ്ടു ഉള്ളിൽ ഞരങ്ങുന്നു.

24. പ്രത്യാശയാലല്ലാ നാം രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടിരിക്കുന്നതു. കാണുന്ന പ്രത്യാശയോ പ്രത്യാശയല്ല; ഒരുത്തൻ കാണുന്നതിന്നായി ഇനി പ്രത്യാശിക്കുന്നതു എന്തിന്നു?

25. നാം കാണാത്തതിന്നായി പ്രത്യാശിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലോ അതിന്നായി ക്ഷമയോടെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

15. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation;

16. for in him all things in heaven and on earth were created, things visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or powers—all things have been created through him and for him.

17. He himself is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

18. He is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that he might come to have first place in everything.

19. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell,

20. and through him God was pleased to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, by making peace through the blood of his cross.

15. वह अदृश्य परमेश्वर का दृश्य रूप है। वह सारी सृष्टि का सिरमौर है।

16. क्योंकि जो कुछ स्वर्ग में है और धरती पर है, उसी की शक्ति से उत्पन्न हुआ है। कुछ भी चाहे दृश्यमान हो और चाहे अदृश्य, चाहे सिंहासन हो चाहे राज्य, चाहे कोई शासक हो और चाहे अधिकारी, सब कुछ उसी के द्वारा रचा गया है और उसी के लिए रचा गया है।

17. सबसे पहले उसी का अस्तित्व था, उसी की शक्ति से सब वस्तुएँ बनी रहती हैं।

18. इस देह, अर्थात् कलीसिया का सिर वही है। वही आदि है और मरे हुओं को फिर से जी उठाने का सर्वोच्च अधिकारी भी वही है ताकि हर बात में पहला स्थान उसी को मिले।

19. क्योंकि अपनी समग्रता के साथ परमेश्वर ने उसी में वास करना चाहा।

20. उसी के द्वारा समूचे ब्रह्माण्ड को परमेश्वर ने अपने से पुनः संयुक्त करना चाहा उन सभी को जो धरती के हैं और स्वर्ग के हैं। उसी लहू के द्वारा परमेश्वर ने मिलाप कराया जिसे मसीह ने क्रूस पर बहाया था।

15. അവൻ അദൃശ്യനായ ദൈവത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിമയും സർവ്വസൃഷ്ടിക്കും ആദ്യജാതനും ആകുന്നു.

16. സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലുള്ളതും ഭൂമിയിലുള്ളതും ദൃശ്യമായതും അദൃശ്യമായതും സിംഹാസനങ്ങൾ ആകട്ടെ കർത്തൃത്വങ്ങൾ ആകട്ടെ വാഴ്ചകൾ ആകട്ടെ അധികാരങ്ങൾആകട്ടെ സകലവും അവൻ മുഖാന്തരം സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ടു; അവൻ മുഖന്തരവും അവന്നായിട്ടും സകലവും സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

17. അവൻ സർവ്വത്തിന്നും മുമ്പെയുള്ളവൻ; അവൻ സകലത്തിന്നും ആധാരമായിരിക്കുന്നു.

18. അവൻ സഭ എന്ന ശരീരത്തിന്റെ തലയും ആകുന്നു; സകലത്തിലും താൻ മുമ്പനാകേണ്ടതിന്നു അവൻ ആരംഭവും മരിച്ചവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ നിന്നു ആദ്യനായി എഴുന്നേറ്റവനും ആകുന്നു.

19. അവനിൽ സർവ്വസമ്പൂർണ്ണതയും വസിപ്പാനും

20. അവൻ ക്രൂശിൽ ചൊരിഞ്ഞ രക്തം കൊണ്ടു അവൻ മുഖാന്തരം സമാധാനം ഉണ്ടാക്കി, ഭൂമിയിലുള്ളതോ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിലുള്ളതോ സകലത്തെയും അവനെക്കൊണ്ടു തന്നോടു നിരപ്പിപ്പാനും പിതാവിന്നു പ്രസാദം തോന്നി.

26. Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

27. And which of you by worrying can add a single hour to your span of life?

28. And why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they neither toil nor spin,

29. yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these.

30. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?

26. देखो! आकाश के पक्षी न तो बुआई करते हैं और न कटाई, न ही वे कोठारों में अनाज भरते हैं किन्तु तुम्हारा स्वर्गीय पिता उनका भी पेट भरता है। क्या तुम उनसे कहीं अधिक महत्वपूर्ण नहीं हो?

27. तुम में से क्या कोई ऐसा है जो चिंता करके अपने जीवन काल में एक घड़ी भी और बढ़ा सकता है?

28. “और तुम अपने वस्त्रों की क्यों सोचते हो? सोचो जंगल के फूलों की वे कैसे खिलते हैं। वे न कोई काम करते हैं और न अपने लिए कपड़े बनाते हैं।

29. मैं तुमसे कहता हूँ कि सुलेमान भी अपने सारे वैभव के साथ उनमें से किसी एक के समान भी नहीं सज सका।

30. इसलिये जब जंगली पौधों को जो आज जीवित हैं पर जिन्हें कल ही भाड़ में झोंक दिया जाना है, परमेश्वर ऐसे वस्त्र पहनाता है तो अरे ओ कम विश्वास रखने वालों, क्या वह तुम्हें और अधिक वस्त्र नहीं पहनायेगा?

26. ആകാശത്തിലെ പറവകളെ നോക്കുവിൻ; അവ വിതെക്കുന്നില്ല, കൊയ്യുന്നില്ല, കളപ്പുരയിൽ കൂട്ടിവെക്കുന്നതുമില്ല എങ്കിലും സ്വർഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവു അവയെ പുലർത്തുന്നു; അവയെക്കാൾ നിങ്ങൾ ഏറ്റവും വിശേഷതയുള്ളവരല്ലയോ ?

27. വിചാരപ്പെടുന്നതിനാൽ തന്റെ നീളത്തോടു ഒരു മുഴം കൂട്ടുവാൻ നിങ്ങളിൽ ആർക്കു കഴിയും?

28. ഉടുപ്പിനെക്കുറിച്ചു വിചാരപ്പെടുന്നതും എന്തു? വയലിലെ താമര എങ്ങനെ വളരുന്നു എന്നു നിരൂപിപ്പിൻ; അവ അദ്ധ്വാനിക്കുന്നില്ല, നൂല്ക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

29. എന്നാൽ ശലോമോൻ പോലും തന്റെ സർവ്വ മഹത്വത്തിലും ഇവയിൽ ഒന്നിനോളം ചമഞ്ഞിരുന്നില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.

30. ഇന്നുള്ളതും നാളെ അടുപ്പിൽ ഇടുന്നതുമായ വയലിലെ പുല്ലിനെ ദൈവം ഇങ്ങനെ ചമയിക്കുന്നു എങ്കിൽ, അല്പവിശ്വാസികളേ, നിങ്ങളെ എത്ര അധികം.
