42. They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. Life among the Believers

43. Awe came upon everyone, because many wonders and signs were being done by the apostles.

44. All who believed were together and had all things in common;

45. they would sell their possessions and goods and distribute the proceeds to all, as any had need.

46. Day by day, as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts,

47. praising God and having the goodwill of all the people. And day by day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.

42. उन्होंने प्रेरितों के उपदेश, संगत, रोटी के तोड़ने और प्रार्थनाओं के प्रति अपने को समर्पित कर दिया।

43. हर व्यक्ति पर भय मिश्रित विस्मय का भाव छाया रहा और प्रेरितों द्वारा आश्चर्य कर्म और चिन्ह प्रकट किये जाते रहे।

44. सभी विश्वासी एक साथ रहते थे और उनके पास जो कुछ था, उसे वे सब आपस में बाँट लेते थे।

45. उन्होंने अपनी सभी वस्तुएँ और सम्पत्ति बेच डाली और जिस किसी को आवश्यकता थी, उन सब में उसे बाँट दिया।

46. मन्दिर में एक समूह के रूप में वे हर दिन मिलते-जुलते रहे। वे अपने घरों में रोटी को विभाजित करते और उदार मन से आनन्द के साथ, मिल-जुलकर खाते।

47. सभी लोगों की सद्भावनाओं का आनन्द लेते हुए वे प्रभु की स्तुति करते, और प्रतिदिन परमेश्वर, जिन्हें उद्धार मिल जाता, उन्हें उनके दल में और जोड़ देता।

42. അവർ അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരുടെ ഉപദേശം കേട്ടും കൂട്ടായ്മ ആചരിച്ചും അപ്പം നുറക്കിയും പ്രാർത്ഥന കഴിച്ചും പോന്നു.

43. എല്ലാവർക്കും ഭയമായി; അപ്പൊസ്തലന്മാരാൽ ഏറിയ അത്ഭുതങ്ങളും അടയാളങ്ങളും നടന്നു.

44. വിശ്വസിച്ചവർ എല്ലാവരും ഒരുമിച്ചിരുന്നു

45. സകലവും പൊതുവക എന്നു എണ്ണുകയും ജന്മഭൂമികളും വസ്തുക്കളും വിറ്റു അവനവന്നു ആവശ്യം ഉള്ളതുപോലെ എല്ലാവർക്കും പങ്കിടുകയും,

46. ഒരുമനപ്പെട്ടു ദിനംപ്രതി ദൈവാലയത്തിൽ കൂടിവരികയും വീട്ടിൽ അപ്പം നുറുക്കിക്കൊണ്ടു ഉല്ലാസവും ഹൃദയപരമാർത്ഥതയും പൂണ്ടു ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കയും ദൈവത്തെ സ്തുതിക്കയും സകല ജനത്തിന്റെയും കൃപ അനുഭവിക്കയും ചെയ്തു. കർത്താവു രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുന്നവരെ ദിനംപ്രതി സഭയോടു ചേർത്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.

23. For I received from the Lord what I also handed on to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took a loaf of bread,

24. and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.”

25. In the same way he took the cup also, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.”

26. For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes. Partaking of the Supper Unworthily

27. Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be answerable for the body and blood of the Lord.

28. Examine yourselves, and only then eat of the bread and drink of the cup.

29. For all who eat and drink without discerning the body, eat and drink judgment against themselves.

30. For this reason many of you are weak and ill, and some have died.

23. क्योंकि जो सीख मैंने तुम्हें दी है, वह मुझे प्रभु से मिली थी। प्रभु यीशु ने उस रात, जब उसे मरवा डालने के लिये पकड़वाया गया था, एक रोटी ली

24. और धन्यवाद देने के बाद उसने उसे तोड़ा और कहा, “यह मेरा शरीर है, जो तुम्हारे लिए है। मुझे याद करने के लिये तुम ऐसा ही किया करो।”

25. उनके भोजन कर चुकने के बाद इसी प्रकार उसने प्याला उठाया और कहा, “यह प्याला मेरे लहू के द्वारा किया गया एक नया वाचा है। जब कभी तुम इसे पिओ तभी मुझे याद करने के लिये ऐसा करो।”

26. क्योंकि जितनी बार भी तुम इस रोटी को खाते हो और इस प्याले को पीते हो, उतनी ही बार जब तक वह आ नहीं जाता, तुम प्रभु की मृत्यु का प्रचार करते हो।

27. अतः जो कोई भी प्रभु की रोटी या प्रभु के प्याले को अनुचित रीति से खाता पीता है, वह प्रभु की देह और उस के लहू के प्रति अपराधी होगा।

28. व्यक्ति को चाहिये कि वह पहले अपने को परखे और तब इस रोटी को खाये और इस प्याले को पिये।

29. क्योंकि प्रभु के देह का अर्थ समझे बिना जो इस रोटी को खाता और इस प्याले को पीता है, वह इस प्रकार खा-पी कर अपने ऊपर दण्ड को बुलाता है।

30. इसलिए तो तुममें से बहुत से लोग दुर्बल हैं, बीमार हैं और बहुत से तो चिरनिद्रा में सो गये हैं।

23. ഞാൻ കർത്താവിങ്കൽ നിന്നു പ്രാപിക്കയും നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഏല്പിക്കയും ചെയ്തതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: കർത്താവായ യേശുവിനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുത്ത രാത്രിയിൽ അവൻ അപ്പം എടുത്തു സ്തോത്രം ചൊല്ലി നുറുക്കി:

24. ഇതു നിങ്ങൾക്കു വേണ്ടിയുള്ള എന്റെ ശരീരം; എന്റെ ഓർമ്മെക്കായി ഇതു ചെയ്‍വിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

25. അവ്വണ്ണം തന്നേ അത്താഴം കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം അവൻ പാനപാത്രവും എടുത്തു; ഈ പാനപാത്രം എന്റെ രക്തത്തിൽ പുതിയനിയമം ആകുന്നു; ഇതു കുടിക്കുമ്പോഴൊക്കെയും എന്റെ ഓർമ്മെക്കായി ചെയ്‍വിൻ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

26. അങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങൾ ഈ അപ്പം തിന്നുകയും പാനപാത്രം കുടിക്കയും ചെയ്യുമ്പോഴൊക്കെയും കർത്താവു വരുവോളം അവന്റെ മരണത്തെ പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നു.

27. അതുകൊണ്ടു അയോഗ്യമായി അപ്പം തിന്നുകയോ കർത്താവിന്റെ പാനപാത്രം കുടിക്കയോ ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ എല്ലാം കർത്താവിന്റെ ശരീരവും രക്തവും സംബന്ധിച്ചു കുറ്റക്കാരൻ ആകും.

28. മനുഷ്യൻ തന്നെത്താൻ ശോധന ചെയ്തിട്ടുവേണം ഈ അപ്പം തിന്നുകയും പാനപാത്രത്തിൽനിന്നു കുടിക്കയും ചെയ്‍വാൻ.

29. തിന്നുകയും കുടിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ ശരീരത്തെ വിവേചിക്കാഞ്ഞാൽ തനിക്കു ശിക്ഷാവിധി തിന്നുകയും കുടിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.

30. ഇതുഹേതുവായി നിങ്ങളിൽ പലരും ബലഹീനരും രോഗികളും ആകുന്നു; അനേകരും നിദ്രകൊള്ളുന്നു.

26. While they were eating, Jesus took a loaf of bread, and after blessing it he broke it, gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.”

27. Then he took a cup, and after giving thanks he gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, all of you,

28. for this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

29. I tell you, I will never again drink of this fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father’s kingdom.”

27. फिर उसने प्याला उठाया और धन्यवाद देने के बाद उसे उन्हें देते हुए कहा, “तुम सब इसे थोड़ा थोड़ा पिओ।

28. क्योंकि यह मेरा लहू है जो एक नये वाचा की स्थापना करता है। यह बहुत लोगों के लिये बहाया जा रहा है। ताकि उनके पापों को क्षमा करना सम्भव हो सके।

29. मैं तुमसे कहता हूँ कि मैं उस दिन तक दाखरस को नहीं चखुँगा जब तक अपने परम पिता के राज्य में तुम्हारे साथ नया दाखरस न पी लूँ।”

26. അവർ ഭക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോൾ യേശു അപ്പം എടുത്തു വാഴ്ത്തി നുറുക്കി ശിഷ്യന്മാർക്കു കൊടുത്തു: “വാങ്ങി ഭക്ഷിപ്പിൻ; ഇതു എന്റെ ശരീരം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

27. പിന്നെ പാനപാത്രം എടുത്തു സ്തോത്രം ചൊല്ലി അവർക്കു കൊടുത്തു: “എല്ലാവരും ഇതിൽ നിന്നു കുടിപ്പിൻ.

28. ഇതു അനേകർക്കുവേണ്ടി പാപമോചനത്തിന്നായി ചൊരിയുന്ന പുതിയ നിയമത്തിന്നുള്ള എന്റെ രക്തം; എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ രാജ്യത്തിൽ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ പുതുതായി കുടിക്കുംനാൾവരെ ഞാൻ മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയുടെ ഈ അനുഭവത്തിൽ നിന്നു ഇനി കുടിക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
