Children Gather for Northeast Regional Sunday School Conference: ‘The Encounter

The Northeast Regional Sunday School Junior-Senior Conference of the Diocese of North America of the Mar Thoma Church was conducted on August 14-17 at St. John’s University, Queens. Themed “The Encounter” (Exodus 3:3), the conference invites young people to reflect on God’s calling and to engage in transformative experiences of faith.

The event was officially inaugurated by Rt. Rev. Dr. Abraham Mar Paulos Episcopa, Diocesan Bishop. The inaugural session was also graced by the presence of Rev. Joel Samuel Thomas, Diocesan Bishop Secretary, along with Northeast Regional Vicars, guest speakers, Sunday School superintendents, teachers, and students.

The four-day conference features spirit-filled sessions, interactive discussions, worship, and fellowship activities, designed to strengthen the faith of participants and provide opportunities for deeper reflection on Scripture.
